As with any not for profit organization The Arc relies heavily on the generosity of others. The Arc programs serve many clients and families with limited incomes, so it is important to keep program costs down and to provide free services or scholarships whenever possible.
Throughout the year, staff and volunteers at The Arc of Sedgwick County organize a variety of events to help raise money for our programs. Fundraising events allow community members to get involved, to donate to a great cause, and to have a great time in the process.
This year's fundraising events are:

Over 2,000 items from celebrities and community donors are auctioned off in Silent and Live Auctions raising funds for the Shooting Stars Self Advocate Group and the Arc.
The Shooting Stars self advocate group use this fundraiser to support activities for their group and benefit The Arc of Sedgwick County. They sponsor annually the Thankful Feast dinner in November for nearly 300 individuals with disabilities, serving thanksgiving dinners to everyone. They also support three events for The Arcs Legacy of Hope Endowment sponsoring in a hole at the golf tournament, a table at the Ladies Luncheon, and purchasing and awarding a trophy at the Independence Day Car Show. Last year they purchased a new sound system for The Arc that has been beneficial to use at many events.
